About Us

Rural Environment Development Society is a Non-Profit, Non-Political & Secular Voluntary Organization mostly working in Bundelkhand, Mahakoushal and Malwa region of Madhya Pradesh. The organization is registered under the Society Act 1860 (Amendment 1973 of M.P.) with it's headquarter at Sagar District of Madhya Pradesh, India. Society was established in 1995 to work for the development of water resources of Madhya Pradesh and to provide sustainable livelihood through agriculture and related activities. Organization's main thrust is for development of poorest of poor, SC/ST, Women and marginalized section's of the society. Presently organization is working in Sagar and Ratlam district of Madhya Pradesh.
The organization is also registered under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act. 1976

Vision & Mission

The vision of Rural Environment Development Society (REDS) is to improve the quality of life of the poor families by creating opportunities of Self-employment, ensuring sustainable livelihood by natural resources management.


Technological and community based initiatives for conservation and generation of sustainable livelihood in the rural areas. - Sustainable integrated rural development through managing natural resources like land, water, livestock and vegetation by implementing Natural Resource Management projects - Community based development programmes viz. Health Care, Literacy, Hygiene, and Environment for uplift of their living standard.
