A.
Worked on Two Watershed projects in Sagar Distt for Rajeev Gandhi
Watershed Mission , Deptt. Of Rural Development, Govt. of Madhya Pradesh,
under the supervision of District Rural Development Authority (DRDA)
Sagar from 1996 to 2003.
a. Mili Watershed project 2C1D8AII (Tada) was of Rs. 2 Crore, under
which 5 village having 405 households and 2475 hectares of land were
covered.
b. Milli Watershed project 2C1D8AI (Tulsipar) was of 2 Crore, under
which 7 villages having 690 households and 2409 hectares of land were
covered.
These projects were implemented in the Kesli block of Sagar district.
The villages covered under these projects are as follows: -
1. Arjuni 2. Puttarra 3.Thavri 4.Untkata 5. Kherikala 6. Tulsipar
7. Basa 8. Khaprakhera 9. Berkheri 10. Jolanpur 11. Jhiriyakheda 12.
Kherikhurd. These villages are tribal populated villages.
B.
Implemented Gadi Gamna Milli Watershed Project under DPAP 6thBatch
for Rajeev Gandhi Watershed Mission, Deptt. Of Rural Development,
Govt. of Madhya Pradesh, under the supervision of Zila Panchayat,
Ratlam in tribal block Bajna of District Ratlam (M.P) from 2003
to 2006. This project covered 5 villages and 1230 Hectares of land.
Total populations of these villages are tribal.
The
organization prepared Micro Watershed development plan after P.R.A.,
L.F.A. Prepared estimates and design after doing contour survey,
slope analysis, catchments area analysis for designing stop dam,
earthen dam, nala bandh, contour boulder bandh and trenches. The
Society also planned strategy for plantation and grassland development.
Watershed
committee and local people were involved in planning of watershed
plan to fulfill their needs through watershed activity. Local information
and technology were involved in making it public usable. Members
of User groups, Self-help group were the members of the water-shed
committee. Watershed committee took all decisions regarding development
activities like soil - water conservation, plantation and pasture
land development which were undertaken to increase the productivity
of the area. The works taken in the above-mentioned villages were
to increase ground water level, check soil erosion and increase
water-holding capacity of the land. Training programme for animal
husbandry, poultry farming, organic manure, mix farming, dry land
farming, medicinal plantation and sanitation were also conducted
under this project. Impact of these projects was that the area of
cultivation was increased by 105 Hectare and so as decrease in the
wasteland by 105 hectares. The productivity of the land has increased
by 11% in milli watershed 2C1D8AII (Tada).

Self
Help Group formation & Micro Enterprise Development
Rural Environment Development Society is constantly
working for the formation of self-help Groups in the villages. The
society motivates them in the over all development of their capacity
& finances. Rural Environment Development Society has formed
100 self-help Groups of men and women in Block Kesli, Dist. Sagar.
They are meeting on a regular basis. The collection of money is
also on a regular basis.
Some of the Groups have also started Micro enterprises. Two Groups
are doing Poultry farming and three Groups are in to the business
of Dairy farming. Society is targeting to form 200 SHG's in Kesli
block of Sagar alone through SGSY Scheme of Rural Development Department
and National Agricultural Bank for Rural Development.
About 87 families were engaged in the cultivation of Sena (Casia
Angustifolia), which is a medicinal plant. Two Groups are earning
from cultivation of vegetables and fruits. One Group was engaged
in cultivation of Grass in Kheri village. The organization is also
constantly providing guidance and Training for their business development.

National
Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme
The society is working on NREGS programme
in Sagar and Ratlam disticts. Society has prepared Detailed Project
Report of beneficiary oriented programme for Dug well (Kapil Dhara),
Fruit plantation (Nandan Van) and Farm bunding (Bhumi Shilp) for
infrastructure development at farmers farmland. Society is worked
in 5 Block of Sagar Distt. 3 blocks of Ratlam Distt. The area was
surveyed and about 13000 beneficiaries selected & were provided
benefit from this scheme. These DPR were technically sanctioned
by Asstt. Engineer of RES and passed by public representative of
three tier Panchayti Raj Institution. Works are successfully under
progress on these DPR.
Farmers
Club
Society is working on Farmers Club Programme
of National Bank of Rural Development. Kesli Block of Sagar is a
backward block, farmers are still using traditional way of agriculture.
Society is working for dissemination of agriculture related information
and technology to increase the production. Through this programme
society is also providing information on agriculture related allied
activities. So far society is working on 45 farmers club established
in 45 villages. Each club having minimum strength of 10 members.
Society also worked in ATMA project of Department of Agriculture
Govt of M.P.
